Caring for Our Community, One Smile at a Time
At OP Smiles Pediatric Dentistry, our commitment to children extends far beyond the walls of our offices. Since 1981, we’ve been proud to care for generations of families throughout the High Country and the Foothills of North Carolina. We believe that building healthy smiles also means investing in the communities where our patients live, learn, and play.
Whether we’re partnering with local nonprofits, supporting youth athletics, or participating in community events, our goal is simple: help children thrive both inside and outside the dental office.
Supporting Children and Families

Strong families build strong communities, and we’re honored to support the Children’s Council of Watauga County in its mission to provide early childhood education, family support, and parenting resources throughout our region.
By partnering with organizations that invest in children during their earliest years, we’re helping create healthier futures—one child and one family at a time.

Learning through play is an important part of childhood, and we’re proud to support The Children’s Playhouse as they inspire creativity, curiosity, and confidence in children across the High Country.
Just as we strive to make dental visits engaging and positive, we appreciate organizations that create safe, welcoming spaces where children can learn, explore, and grow.
Proud sponsor of Playhouse Buildfest

As members of the Boone community, we’re proud supporters of Appalachian State Athletics and the student-athletes who represent our region with dedication, perseverance, and Mountaineer pride.
Beyond cheering from the stands, our team is honored to help care for App State student-athletes by responding to dental emergencies when they arise and providing custom protective mouthguards to help prevent injuries on and off the field. Supporting the health and well-being of these athletes is one of the many ways we’re able to give back to a university that plays such an important role in our community.
